Marvellous location - within short walking distance of everywhere we needed. A great selection of restaurants to eat close by, like Le Bounty that was only 20 minutes' walk away. They gave us a studio in large wardrobes with sliding doors in the double bedroom...

I liked the location because it was right beside the beautiful beaches and only a 10 minute taxi ride(approx €15) into Biarritz.

I didn't like the fact that the reception was only open at certain times. At times we needed advice/directions and we had nobody to ask in the hotel. A 24 hr or at least 12 hr reception would be much better.

Spacious room with a microwave, kettle, and fridge - super convenient! the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the staff were so nice and ready to assist whenever needed. 😊

Only two sets of towels and no toilet paper on the second floor. For 5 adults that was rather uncomfortable.

The hotel is OK but it is not a 4 star hotel in our opinion, more like a 3 star. Very disturbing that there are only 2 towels included in a 6 persons apartment i.e. we had to "rent" towels 8 EUR each (!) for a week for the others. The cleaning was poor particularly in the bathrooms. Better to increase the price and arrange cleaning as included in the stay. It does not work when hotel guests clean themselves.

I loved the beach. Best beach ever seen. Ocean museum is ok but perhaps too modern and impersonal. Did not have a car so transport difficult in the area.

With a superb location near safe beaches and easy road access to the local area, Residence Mer & Golf Ilbarritz is a great choice for a relaxing beach holiday. the pool is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze, and there is convenient car parking available. Plus, surf schools are easily accessible from here, making it an ideal spot for water sports enthusiasts. the area feels safe, making for a worry-free stay.

The location of the hotel was great as it was easy to walk to the beach and near great restaurants. the room had a nice view of the ocean and was spacious with a large balcony. the open-plan kitchen and living area provided ample space to relax.

One negative aspect was the lack of cleanliness in the room, as mentioned by some guests.
